Bryony Hat Pattern
Bryony Hat Pattern
Bryony is a slouchy, cabled beanie that is worked in the round, starting at the ribbed brim, ending with decreases at the crown. The pattern on the hat is created by knitting the cables in one color and the rest of the hat in a different color.
The cast on and brim are knitted with a US 3 (3.25 mm) circular needle and the body of the hat is completed with a US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needle.
The size difference between the needles used in this pattern allows for a little extra “slouch” in the hat and gives the knitter extra slack in the colorwork section to help avoid puckering.
